As parents, we know that at every age comes a whole new set of skills, curiosity, questions, & milestones! We want to help resource you in every phase of your child’s life. Below you will find descriptions of each phase of your child’s life, milestones associated with those phases, and even linked resources!
BIRTH - 4 YEARS
MILESTONE: CHILD DEDICATION
Child Dedication can happen as early as birth! Child dedication is a commitment you make, before God, as parents to give thanks and raise your child according to His purpose. It is our heart to partner with you as your child grows and develops their own personal relationship with Jesus.
KINDERGARTEN - FIFTH GRADE
MILESTONE: SALVATION & BAPTISM
Salvation can happen as early as 2nd grade! Kids at this age tend to have a better grasp of who Jesus is, and what it means to accept Jesus into their hearts. Salvation can happen at ANY time, during an altar call at church, in the car, or doing devotionals at home. Baptism can happen as early as age 8! Baptism is an outer expression of the internal decision you child made to follow Jesus! Journey Church offers baptisms every month, and twice a year, we will do kids & youth specific baptism days. To learn more about baptism visit www.jrnychurch.com/baptism.
MILESTONE: BRIDGE
Bridge happens once a year for our 5th graders heading into 6th grade! We know the transition to middle school can be tough, which is why we want to partner alongside you, as parents, to make that transition easier. At our Bridge Milestone event our 5th graders get to graduate from JRNYKids, and they get a sneak peak into what life at JRNYTH is like!
